Two step micro-rheological behavior in a viscoelastic fluid

چکیده
We perform micro-rheological experiments with a colloidal bead driven through viscoelastic worm-like micellar fluid and observe two distinctive shear thinning regimes, each of them displaying Newtonian-like plateau. The behavior at larger velocities is in qualitative agreement macroscopic rheological experiments. second process, observed Weissenberg numbers as small few percent, appears to have no analog macro-rheological findings. A simple model introduced earlier captured the implied that processes correspond different length scales fluid. This also reproduces oscillations, which been this system previously. While under macro-shear seems be near equilibrium for rates regime intermediate plateau, one micro-shear thus still far from it. analysis suggests existence scale micrometres, nature remains elusive.

Influences of magnetic field in viscoelastic fluid
This communication influences on magnetohydrodynamic flow of viscoelastic fluid with magnetic field induced by oscillating plate. General solutions have been found out for velocity and shear stress profiles using mathematical transformations (Integral transforms). The governing partial differential equations have been solved analytically under boundary conditions u(0,t)=A_0 H(t)sinΩt and u(0,t)...
متن کاملPropulsion in a viscoelastic fluid
Flagella beating in complex fluids are significantly influenced by viscoelastic stresses. Relevant examples include the ciliary transport of respiratory airway mucus and the motion of spermatozoa in the mucus-filled female reproductive tract. We consider the simplest model of such propulsion and transport in a complex fluid, a waving sheet of small amplitude free to move in a polymeric fluid wi...
متن کاملA rheological network model for the continuum anisotropic and viscoelastic behavior of soft tissue.
The mechanical behavior of soft tissue demonstrates a number of complex features including nonlinearity, anisotropy, viscoelasticity, and growth. Characteristic features of the time-dependent and anisotropic behavior are related to the properties of various components of the tissue such as fibrous collagen and elastin networks, large proteins and sugars attached to these networks, and interstit...

Increasing rate of unemployment among the graduates of Iranian higher agricultural education system has been developed into one of the major socio-economic problems of the nation. Entrepreneurship is one of the most important factors contributing to economic and social development, that is, it is a main driver for employment creation. As such, many policy initiatives in Iran attempt to pull agr...
متن کاملA fractional step θ-method for viscoelastic fluid flow using a SUPG approximation
In this article a fractional step θ-method is described and studied for the approximation of time dependent viscoelastic fluid flow equations, using the Johnson-Segalman constitutive model. The θ-method implementation allows the velocity and pressure approximations to be decoupled from the stress, reducing the number of unknowns resolved at each step of the method. The constitutive equation is ...
